About PinoyWebcast.com

Pinoys will be Pinoys wherever they are, and if there's one thing that's second nature to Pinoys, it's the ability to have fun from the simplest of things.  Be it a chuckle from a hilarious situation, or a good scare from a new ghost story, or a spark of awe from an incredible stunt, count on Pinoys to relish it with unmatched gusto.  And what better way is there to bring this kind of joy to everyone Pinoy than through short video clips streamed over the internet.

We conceptualized PinoyWebcast.com with this in mind.  We want to entertain Pinoys worldwide with a continuously growing collection of Pinoy videos.  Pinoy videos that depict real Pinoy life at home and away from home.  With the growing number of Pinoys abroad, we've even made it our mission to bring them closer to home through Pinoywebcast.com.

Of course, such an aim doesn't come without challenges, from technical details like connecting Flash apps to aspx pages, to social obstacles like encouraging the ordinary Pinoy to upload files over the web.  Add to this the low internet penetration among Pinoy households, and the even much lower deployment of broadband connection among those that use the internet.  But we're getting there.  After all, Pinoys are ready to embrace new technology, as what we can glean from the booming cellphone business.

The term 'webcast', which means to broadcast over the web, is not new.  It's been around for quite a while now, and Pinoys are beginning to understand what it can do for them.  Which is why we know that PinoyWebcast.com is the best domain name for us, since we are in the business of broadcasting Pinoy videos over the web. 

We would like to invite you to be part of our monumental goal to build the world's largest library of short Pinoy video clips.  We want to succeed in this endeavor because this is something that we can all leave behind to future Pinoy generations. Yes, PinoyWebcast.com is entertainment, but it also is a way for us to know who we really are, and appreciate the fact that we are a people so warm, so resourceful, and so genuinely happy.
